Nemo’s daily challenge

Everyone takes on the same 10×10 puzzle, set at midnight Korea time (KST) each day. The server starts timing the moment you press start, and adds you to the ranking when you solve it correctly. You can record one time per day from the same browser. The clock keeps running even if you close the page.

Times are listed fastest first; if two times are equal, the one finished earlier comes first. Auto-generated nicknames are used, and only real records are shown. Switching devices or browsers counts as a separate player. The daily puzzle is chosen from the 100 stages, so it may be a picture you’ve already solved.

A 1:1 picture race with a friend

  1. In Friend race, choose a size and create a room.
  2. Send the 6-digit room code to your friend.
  3. Once your friend joins and you’re both ready, the race starts in 3 seconds.
  4. Solve the same puzzle without hints — first to finish wins.

A bar shows how much each of you has marked. It isn’t accuracy; it’s the share of squares with a fill or × mark. The winner is decided by the order in which the server confirms each finished picture.

Pausing and hints are off during a race. If you press the leave button, your opponent wins. After a refresh you can rejoin in the same tab, but rooms expire when the server restarts or 2 hours after they’re created. Nemo’s ranking and races are casual, low-pressure modes.

The wider world of puzzle competitions

World Puzzle Championship (WPC)

The World Puzzle Championship covers many kinds of logic puzzles. First held in 1992, it aims for competition based on logic and reasoning rather than knowledge of a particular language or culture. It isn’t a world championship for nonograms alone. Check that year’s official information for events and rules. Source: WSPC 2026 official FAQ ↗

WPF Puzzle Grand Prix

A puzzle competition from the World Puzzle Federation that you can join online. You solve a variety of puzzles from published PDFs and submit the specified answers; registered participants are included in the standings. Puzzle types and rules are on the official site. Nonograms don’t appear in every round. Source: WPF Puzzle GP rules ↗

Start by practicing with past puzzles and explanations on the official sites. For schedules, eligibility, and allowed tools at outside competitions, the organizers’ information is what counts. The races and ranking on this site are separate from official WPF competitions.
